Asuka and Jonathan, although good, just cannot meet the caliber of the others.  I think they could have, if they just worked harder.  During the rehearsal clip, Asuka’s lack of confidence was obvious. You have to be present, working and enjoying every single minute of this golden opportunity. Honestly, I don’t think the Many Moore piece was something to cry about…it wasn’t that difficult. Jonathan, although a cutie-patootie, he ruined the hip hop number.  If I was the choreographer, I would have gone to the restroom right after the piece so I could scream BLOODY MURDER!! For advanced dancers not be together on head bobs. Please?? Did you practice this piece at all?  I was afraid that Karla would be dragged down with Jonathan. I feel that she had energy and groove.  She could have kicked it up a notch or too though.  I am glad she didn’t get cut with Jonathan.
The group number on Thursday ROCKED!! Well, what else would you expect from Tabitha and Napoleon.  OMG!  I love those two!! What fun!  It was almost ballroom based and then the hip hop kicked in and Yowzah!!
Can’t wait until Wednesday! Let’s raise the difficulty of the pieces please! And….btw…I love almost all the costumes this year.  Come on…Melissa was just so beautiful in that outfit…see what ballet can do for you!!

Ashley is a super dancer! But understand,  she is just one of all those fabulous contemporary dancers.  Although she was exceptional in the crash test dummies, and fantastic in the hip hop number, perhaps she could have had stronger facial expressions!! But girls, we all know that in dance their are thousands of great female dancers.  Now with Max…I don’t agree with him being taken off the show.  He tried so hard, did a super job and improved so much. I am not as impressed with Kupono. I think he should have been the one to leave.  Also, I think Askura is overrated.  As far as I am concerned he is OK but doesn’t seem to listen to critique.  Cannot wait until tonight to see the choreography and if anyone surfaces to the top of the heap!

OK! Well, if we had to let someone go, I hate to say it because he is such a cutey, but Tony had to go.  He just can’t keep up with the rest of the dancers.  But I am sure that with more training he will be super!  Paris, well I think it is just like they said, they had other contemporary dancers that showed more expression and spunk.  They made the top 20 so that’s better than the however many people that auditioned…… right?

It’s b….ack!  Dancing on TV!  Love it!  Have to admit, don’t care for the auditions that much because what we see is so controlled and contrived by the show.  Let’s remember…it is a reality show after all.  Now comes the good part….seeing the dances created this year. Everyone waits for Mia’s contribution.  Frankly, so far her “I love to cut people” attitude is a little over the top! But, once again every story needs a “villian”.  Right, Simon! You know, one person you love to hate.  Somebody we all talk about.  Mia is fitting that role.  She is talented, arrogant and speaks out!!
